Kussmaul Electronics Company started operations in September 1967 as Kussmaul Engineering Company and at that time provided consulting engineering and design services in the field of servomechanisms and automatic control. The company is privately held and now occupies its own modern manufacturing facility in West Sayville, New York.

Recognizing a need for completely Automatic Battery chargers that would be highly Reliable, Dependable, Rugged, and Economical, the company designed such a unit. Utilizing the latest solid state technology resulted in a superior product which, over the years, has grown into a complete line of battery chargers. Although originally designed for fire departments and emergency services, these products find wide application wherever batteries must be maintained in a fully charged state with a minimum of operator attention.

Auto Charger T

The Auto Charge T transient suppressed is a fully automatic battery charger for a single battery system. This float charger is transient protected to ANSI/IEEE C37.90.1-1989 standard. Ideal for maintaining batteries in circuit breaker applications for electric utilities. Similar to Auto Charge 2 except higher output current. It is ruggedly constructed for mounting.

Pump Plus 2000 PLC

The Pump Plus 2000 with Parasitic Load Compensation (PLC) is a compact, microprocessor controlled, completely automatic, designed for vehicles with a dual battery system. The PLC charger is designed to withstand the shock and vibration encountered by vehicle mounted equipment. 

The new Parasitic Load Compensation feature is designed especially to meet the heavy-duty requirements of emergency vehicles. Most emergency vehicles have many parasitic loads on their systems (flashlights, gas detectors, computers, monitoring systems and other items) that can trick a standard 3-step charger into overcharging the batteries. Parasitic load compensation allows you to input the total number of parasitic load amps on the vehicle. Then the charger will shift the absorption stage set point so the battery voltage will drop to the float voltage when the desired current is reached. In short, the parasitic loads are invisible to the charger. This will lead to a longer battery life and no overcharging or overheating.

Super 30 Auto Eject - Air/Electric

The Super 30 Auto Eject -Air Electric, adds an air pressure connection to the popular Super 30 Auto Eject. Thus, in one connection the vehicle is supplied with 30 amperes of electric power and an air pressure line to recharge the vehicles air brake reservoirs.

Auto Eject With Deluxe Cover- Bar Graph, Dual Output

The Super Auto Eject is a completely sealed automatic power line disconnect. This prevents contamination of the mechanism by road dirt, and ensures long reliable life even when mounted in the most severe environment. A novel internal switch arrangement closes and opens the 120 Volt A.C. circuit after the mating connector is inserted, and before the connector is removed. This eliminates arcing at the connector contacts, and assures long contact life. As with all Auto Ejects, the Super Auto Eject is connected to the starter circuit, so that ejection occurs when the engine is cranked.
